What is Keratoconus?

Have you ever heard about keratoconus?

It is the name for an eye disease in which a person’s cornea changes its shape and because of that irregularity, a person is not able to see with perfection.

Reasons of this disease are mostly because of any kind of allergy in eye and if a person is rubbing his eye so hard that it has started to affect his cornea.

One of close friends was having this disease and my word, he faced lots of problems during his childhood days, he used to sit at the front in his classroom because he was unable to see the board clearly at the back.

Doctor suggested him for a Deep Lamellar Keratoplasty for his eyes, It is actually a technical jargon for a surgery in which half part of cornea is changed with the donor’s cornea, half of the cornea still remains.

The main reason of sharing this information was that we need to check our vision in every 6 months, so that, we don’t face any problem in our eye sight because vision is the most important part of our life!

Recommendation:

I would also recommend Singapore National Eye Center for any type of Deep Lamellar Keratoplasty and other eye surgeries as its one of the best in the world with all the latest equipment's!
